My new house is finally finished and Peace-Corps-approved! I’ll move in in about a week. In the mean time, here’s a picture of the bathroom/shower in progress, the finished product with Lake Kivu in the distance, and a view of the side of the house, front yard and fence which will soon be blooming with flowers I planted yesterday!
Enroot: to put down roots. En route: to be on the way, or traveling. This is a chronicle of my attempt to do both of these seemingly contradictory things. I am serving in the Peace Corps in Rwanda doing Community Health and Organizational Development from February 2010 to May 2012. Located in Gisenyi, I am working on community health and development projects and with cooperatives of people living with HIV/AIDS.
